Product Designer is concerned with the interaction between the products, systems and the users. They make sure that the product is not only functionally well performing but also aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. They have an opportunity to work on a whole lot of products. Right from designing a car, its process control boards to the dashboard, they are involved in every step of design. They are also involved in conceptualization and designing of a tube of toothpaste, an industrial machine, a computer, a television, an audio system, a coffee vending machine, a packet of a product and right up to the mouse of a computer. Other functional areas include a train compartment, a bus, etc. Toy companies and companies manufacturing goods for children have specialized product designers to cater to their needs.
