The point of note is that Volvo’s new S60 will not have the option of a diesel engine. According to the company, now all Volvo cars will come in Mild Petrol Hybrid, Plug-in Petrol Hybrid, and Electric Avatar. That is, the entire focus of the company is to reduce the pollution, diesel cars pollute more than petrol.
According to Volvo these days customers’ trends are increasing towards petrol hybrid and fully electric cars. Keeping this in mind, the company has taken the decision that the new S60 will not be available in the diesel engine.
Speaking of the engine, the new S60 will be presented with a 4-cylinder Drive-E petrol and two petrol plug-in hybrid engines. Third Generation’s S60 production model will be presented to the world by the end of this year. In India, it can be launched by the end of 2019.
