BMW X3 is one of the best-selling SUVs in the German capital of Bavaria
Germany’s luxury car maker BMW is going to launch its new Generation X3 in India today. Let’s say this is one of the best-selling SUVs in the German capital Bavaria. The company had launched it in 2003 and in the last 14 years, it has sold more than 15 lakh units according to two generation.
“All-new BMW X3 will have advanced design languages, new technology, and top-of-the-line equipment, which will be manufactured locally at Chennai plant,” said Jakeh Stockam, Managing Director, BMW Group, Chennai.
It’s more aggressive than ever before. The car’s headlamp and grill are different from each other and have a design like X5 and New Series 5. The grille of the car has already been larger than the old generation. Apart from this, more air intakes and LED hexagonal fog lumps have been provided with new bumpers in the car. The new X3 features full LED 3D lumps with full LED headlamps and fog lamps. In addition, its standard variant will be 18-inch wheel size and the top model will have 21-inch wheel sizes.
A new design will also be provided with the new cabin in the interior. An inbuilt screen will be provided in the new X3 dashboard and will also include gesture control. Apple Carsley and Enjoyed Auto as Factors in Entertainment will be kept as standard. However, in New X3 the guest control of the encoding will be kept optional. In the new X3 front and rear passenger will be given more space to sit and its boot space will also be extended.
Engines and Performance
Regarding power specification, the new X3 will have a 2.0-liter petrol and a diesel engine. Both engines will be equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The new BMW X3 will compete with the Audi Q5. Luxury car maker Audi launches its new Q5 in India. The company has kept its value at Rs 53.25 lakh. The new Q5 has a 2.0-liter diesel engine, which generates torque of 190PS and 400NM of torque. This engine is with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The top speed of Q5 is 218kmph and it takes 7.1 seconds to catch speed from 0 to 100kmph. Talk mileage, then the new Q5 gives 17.01 km of mileage in one liter.
BMW’s present X3 model costs 54 lakh rupees. However, according to the announcement of its local construction by the company, its price may be slightly lower. The company will be manufacturing itself at its Chennai plant.
