The height of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been increased by two meters. On completion, it will be the world’s tallest statue.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said that the height of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, built on the Mumbai coast, has been increased by two meters. At completion, it will be the world’s highest statue. Fadnavis told the media here, “In China, there was a proposal to keep the Spring Temple Buddha at 208 meters high and our monument was to be 210 meters high. But Chinese officials did some work on the foundation of the statue and the height reached 210 meters. After that, we were motivated to amend the design and increase the height to 212 meters.
Let us know that a statue of Vallabh Bhai Patel is also being built on Sadhu Bait Island near Vadodara in Gujarat. Whose height is proposed 182 meters? Fadnavis said, “The proposal has got approval from the Central Government. At present, the work is going on at the construction site in the Arabian Sea. ‘ The contract for this project was given to Larsen & Toubro in March this year at Rs 2,500 crore.
According to the news, Shivaji’s statue will be made of bronze alloy so that the statue can withstand the pressure of the equatorial atmosphere, war and air. Apart from this, an area of about 10 hectares will be developed on the rock for two monuments and related facilities. In this memorial, there will be Shivaji, two jetties, libraries, helipads, medical facilities, amphitheater and music.
